2016 Tesla Model X P90D w/Ludicrous Mode – Best Video Review To Date

Tesla Model X

Tesla Model X

This is by far the most in-depth (released to date) video test drive and review of the Tesla Model X.

As YouTube uploader Saabkyle04 explains:

“Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! YouTube’s largest collection of automotive variety. In today’s video, we’ll take an in depth look at the 2016 Tesla Model X P90D!”

If you only ever watch one Tesla Model X video review, then this is the one you must watch!

  • Using the key fob/color/Initial start up sequence: 0:51
  • Steering/transmission/AWD dual motors: 2:29
  • Performance/ludicrous mode/economy: 4:46
  • Exterior walk around/styling/discussion/background, etc: 8:01
  • Falcon wing doors: 10:39
  • Wheels/tires/brakes/suspension: 13:48
  • Interior quality/design/comfort/panoramic windshield: 16:48
  • Static/on road driving shots: 19:43
  • Interior tech and features: 21:37
  • 2nd/3rd row seat space and amenities: 31:57
  • Cargo space: 37:51

As Saabkyle04 explains, most of his car reviews contain the following:

“During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.”

Of course, the Model X differs a bit in that it has no engine and no exhaust, so revving it doesn’t reveal an exhaust note, but wow what a video review it is!

In depth review. Pretty cool.

The improvements and additions over the current Model S are quite notable and arguably worth the price premium of the Model X. They lead to believe that a significant refresh to the Model S may be indeed coming.

Whew! This video contains very nearly 30 minutes of fast-talking, specification-crammed, hard fact info dump, with hardly any extraneous remarks. That’s a lot to take in, and along with the superior lighting, camera work, and editing of this video, it’s an incredible achievement in passing along info as compared to pretty much every other informational video I’ve seen in my entire life. The rest of the running time contains a more leisurely exploration of the seats and storage areas, plus a welcome break in the middle of the video with about two minutes of blessed near-silence, as we watch and hear the whisper quiet of the Model X running on city streets and at highway speed. I’m simply gobsmacked. To simply say “Hats off!” to Saabkyle04 seems woefully inadequate. Seriously, Tesla should pay this guy for the rights to use this video as a high-quality promotion, because it’s light-years better that what they would get from a typical promotional video producer. But I’m not sure this should really be described as a “review”. Whether or not it was Saabkyle04’s intent, it comes across as a promotional video. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but we’re still waiting for in-depth,… Read more »

it seems like this is the first time you encounter Saab kyle/s vids?

he’s great, and he’s been doing this for..6 years? massively popular.

I like bjorn, but he has nothing on Kyle, when it comes to speaking style, editing, production quality, and no filler in his long video.s

Amazing review. Wish they could all be this objective and informative.

He does a great job in all his reviews but the location( near an airport?) leaves a lot to be desired sound wise.
Great features on the X . Can’t wait to see the big mags reviews

The lack of headroom in the middle second-row seat is another strike against the falcon-wing doors. The mechanism and additional reinforcement for the falcon-wing door lowers the ceiling height over the middle seat in the second row.

Plenty of headroom, especially in China.

Then buy the 6 seat option, duh.

Great video, great vehicle. đŸ™‚

Holy cow!

Got enough features? I wonder if it walks the dog and babysits the kids?
