Citing foreign media sources, Globes says:

“Production of the replaceable battery version was halted following the collapse of Better Place in May 2013, but Renault continued production and sales in Europe of the rechargeable battery version. However, the carmaker has decided to halt all production of the Fluence ZE, due to meager sales.”

We first reported on the Fluence Z.E.’s meager sales months ago and suggested at the time that we believed the vehicle was set to exit production.

As Globes reports:

“Israel’s Renault importer Carasso Motors Ltd. says that Renault will continue supporting Fluence ZE cars already sold in Israel.”

Globes added this statement that honestly made us chuckle:

“Industry experts believe, however, that the car will become a collectors’ item within a few years, because of the limited number of cars produced.”

Of note, the Samsung SM3 (a re-badged Fluence Z.E.) is still being produced, but it’s sold only in South Korea.

I do not know if finally Renault will sell the Fluence 2, but it makes sense to not produce in Turkey and produce it in Korea with SM3 ZE.

Renault Captur and Renault-Samsung QM3 are produced in the same plant, same line, in Valladolid, Spain.
There are free trade agreement between Corea an EU.

RenaultSamsungM SM3 ZE comes with Chameleon, 360V 74Ah battery, so its effectively the Fluence 1.5
