Customer deliveries of the second NIO SUV will begin in June

NIO officially launched production of its second all-electric car, the five-seat NIO ES6, which joins the bigger 7-seat NIO ES8.

NIO cars are produced at the JAC NIO Advanced Manufacturing Center in Hefei, China as the company doesn't have its own production plant and scrapped its plan to build one in Shanghai.

The first ES6 already rolled off the production line and from second-half of June company will start customer deliveries of pre-ordered cars.

"Executives and representatives from Bosch, Continental, Novelis, ABB, Magneti Marelli, BASF and 300 other NIO partners were present to witness the first ES6 production model come off the line."
