It's the rivalry everyone continues to talk about.

The Tesla Model 3 has a whole slew of competitors when it comes to cross-shopping. While it's really in a category of its own, everyone from Toyota Prius, Corolla, and Camry drivers, to those currently piloting German luxury small and midsize cars could be in the market for Tesla's least expensive electric sedan.

So, what's the most significant rivalry when it comes to this Tesla? Well, if we're talking about utility, efficiency, technology, good looks, or a number of other identifying features, the competitors are wide. However, in terms of performance, there may not be a closer competitor than the BMW M2.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk accelerated this notion early on when he tweeted about the Model 3 topping the BMW M3 in terms of "quickness" and "handling." He also said the Model 3 would beat anything in its class.

Thus far, it seems Musk was correct, although some may argue the word "class." Anyhow, check out the video to see how the Model 3 fares against the BMW M2. Then, share your thoughts with us in the comment section below.
