The Rivian R1T electric truck continues to impress.
Rivian Automotive made a positive impact at yet another major auto show. Jalopnik's Jason Torchinsky (who claims to be a "vehicular packaging fetishist") got a chance to check out the Detroit-based electric automaker's R1T pickup truck He was fascinated by it and said it might be the best vehicular packaging "experiment or method" he's seen to date.

What does he mean by this?
Well, since EVs don't have an engine and their batteries are generally flat and housed beneath the floor, there's lots of extra room for storage. As you likely know, some EVs have a frunk (front trunk). This is true of the Rivian R1T, though it also has an innovative storage area called a gear tunnel, as well as decent cargo space under the rear-seat floor.
While Torchinsky is all about the storage space, he provides a nice walkaround of the R1T in its entirety. Check it out and let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
