BYD Song MAX PHEV With 16 kWh Battery Enters Chinese Market
Is this the Chinese Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid equivalent? It too packs a 16 kWh battery.
After years of successful sales of che onventional Song MAX 7-seat MPV, BYD finally has introduced in China a plug-in hybrid version, the BYD Song MAX PHEV (aka Song MAX DM).
The car will be available in five versions from 149,900 CNY ($22,273) to 196,900 CNY ($29,257) and two seat configurations: 2+3+2 or 2+2+2.
According to sales stats in China, in March the first 66 units were delivered.
BYD developed two versions of the Song MAX PHEV- with 10 kWh and 16 kWh batteries for up to 51 km (31.7 miles) and 81 km (50.3 miles) of all-electric range, respectively.
