The next-generation Tesla Roadster will not have door handles
Tesla Autonomy Day was all about autonomous driving, but the event was made more attractive by the presentation of the Tesla Roadster 2.
One of participants, Hamid Shojaee, shared videos and photos of the upcoming Roadster, which is scheduled for launch in 2020.
As you can see in the video, there are no door handles, as Tesla decided to use finger swipe on the B pillar to unlock the doors (probably with fingerprint recognition in the production version). Blinking LEDs confirm the authorization.
The other thing worth noting is the interior - futuristic, plain and simple - one could even say spartan.
The video shows the two rear seats too, which turn out to be rather small - most likely for children only.
