Here is the Mitsubishi e-Yi Concept (Chinese version of the Mitsubishi Engelberg Tourer Concept from Geneva), unveiled at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show to present where design of plug-in hybrids Mitsubishi is going.

The all-electric range of 70 km (43 miles) in WLTP cycle hints that the upcoming models will get noticeable range increase.

With over 200,000 Outlander PHEV sales, Mitsubishi is the top player in plug-in hybrid segment, but the range increase is obligatory to stay competitive, especially as European manufacturers already raising their all-electric range in PHEVs. Europe is the biggest market for the Outlander PHEV.
