Plug-in hybrid BMW 740e went on sale in Germany with prices starting from €91,900 (nearly $101,000), which actually lands the electrified BMW 7 series between the petrol (€88,300) and diesel versions (€93,500) of the trim level.

There are three versions of the electrified 740 (see full description/specs/all-electric ranges here):

  • BMW 740e iPerformance (standard wheelbase) €91,900 (nearly $101,000)
  • BMW 740Le iPerformance (long wheelbase) €97,200 (nearly $107,000)
  • BMW 740Le xDrive iPerformance (long wheelbase, all-wheel drive) €100,600 (nearly $110,500)
As you can see, prices are above $100,000 in Germany, but we could assume that there will be a lot of customers interested in the plug-in version.
