Electric "Ford" SVT Raptor Golf Cart
By way of this story, and the headline "Ford Now Offering An Electric SVT Raptor – Sort Of" we were somewhat intrigued by this built-up golf cart and the idea that Ford Motors Co. would get behind such a project. It's not, however, crystal clear in the linked story that Ford did not actually build the thing. It turns out the cart is built by Caddyshack Golf Carts, a company that obviously builds some powerwheels-on-steriods-styled big kid toys, but describes themselves as simple purveyors of 4-wheeled fairway conveyances:
"Over the last six years Caddyshack Golf Cars of Palm Desert, CA. has become one of America’s premier golf car retailers. By utilizing our retail success, decades of global marketing expertise, strategic alliances with leading industry suppliers and the consumer appeal of legendary brand names, Caddyshack Golf Cars is uniquely positioned to offer uncompromising quality, classic styling and road-tested performance to your golf car driving experience."

Though we're obviously enthralled with all things that have batteries and motors and things, it's hard to really relate to an EV that's built for the golf course and styled after a full-sized, dinosaur-burning four-wheel-drive monster pickup truck, but hey. We're trying. Does it make a V8 sound too?
