The 2028 Bentley Torcal is the British luxury carmaker's most advanced vehicle ever, which just happens to be electric. The Torcal is a midsize SUV and joins a growing number of luxury electric models from the U.K. including the Range Rover Electric, Rolls-Royce Spectre, and the Jaguar Type 01.
Bentley said the Torcal is the most powerful and the torquiest vehicle to come out of Crewe. It packs 876 horsepower and 995 pound feet of torque. It will accelerate to 60 miles per hour in just 2.8 seconds, which is impressive for something this big and this heavy. It will destroy gas-powered Bentleys in a straight line.
The Torcal shares the Premium Platform Electric with the Porsche Cayenne Electric. That means it will have blistering charging speeds. Its 800-volt platform allows a 10-80% charge in under 20 minutes. And it will add 100 miles of WLTP range in just seven minutes of plugging in. Its 113 kWh (gross) battery capacity will deliver more than 300 miles of range on the U.S. EPA cycle, Bentley estimates.
