First images of the Jaguar Type 01 cockpit: The all-electric grand tourer gets a rather understated interior that, both stylistically and in its color scheme, recalls the 1960s. The natural colors are inspired by travertine, a yellowish to brownish type of limestone. In front of the driver's seat, there appears to be a slightly curved monitor, while a large touchscreen in the center is missing. Instead, Jaguar only installs a small display for the climate controls as well as a screen for the images from the rear-facing camera.
Also characteristic is the high center console, which runs through the entire cabin and is intended to divide it into four separate areas. The car is a four-seater. In some places, Jaguar uses brass details featuring the "Leaper," the leaping Jaguar.
The car will be presented in New York on October 6. It is already unofficially known that the car is 17.1 feet long but only 4.6 feet high. Three electric motors provide the drive, drawing their power from a 120-kWh battery. Prices are expected to start at around 140,000 euros.
