Lucid has registered the design patents of the Cosmos midsize crossover with the European Union Intellectual Property Office. The patents are now publicly available. The Cosmos looks like a baby Gravity, but with a much more aggressive design and the familiar Lucid family design language. The EV is expected to get more than 300 miles of range and it will ship with an 800-volt architecture, allowing it to add 200 miles of range in just 14 minutes of fast-charging. It will also get a cutting-edge centralized compute platform with just three main ECUs. That means the Cosmos will have less wiring and Lucid will constantly keep improving it with over the air updates. Price of the Cosmos is expected to start at around $50,000.
