The new Peugeot 208 GTi made its debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2025, marking the return of a nameplate discontinued in 2021 for the sportiest version of the French compact. The major innovation compared to all of the brand's past hot hatches is the exclusively electric powertrain, as already seen in the Abarth 600e, Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce, and Lancia Ypsilon HF. The front-mounted engine delivers 280 HP, allowing the 208 GTi to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds, with a declared range of 350 km thanks to its 54 kWh battery. Both the exterior and interior aesthetics have been modified to emphasize its sportiness. Prices remain unknown.
