A Denver woman’s video describing a parking spat she had with a Tesla driver has racked up over 140,000 views since she uploaded it to TikTok on Dec. 3. In the profanity-laced video, user Morgan Roos (@morganroos96) recalls the incident, wherein a driver erroneously accused her of a bad parking job.

“I just got cussed out by the guy that parks next to me, right? Another [expletive] Tesla owner, [expletive] my life,” she says to start the video.

“As you guys know, just got a car,” she says, pointing to a white Jeep in the background of her video. “He’s like, ‘You park like [expletive]. I couldn’t get out of my [expletive] car because you’re riding the line. I’m gonna report you to the HOA,’” she says in a mocking tone.

“And I was like, 'The [expletive] are you talking about? I’m in my [expletive] line, I’m in the lines!'” she says, moving the camera to show that her car is within the lines of its parking spot, with a bit of negative space to boot.

She then pans to the Tesla, which is visibly across the lines of its own parking space. “And so I literally barked back. I was like, ‘Dude, I’m parked in my lines. Yeah, maybe I rode the line a little close, but I’m in my [expletive] lines.’”

According to Roos, the driver refused to admit his error, instead taking issue with Roos’ tone. “He’s like, ‘Don’t talk back to me, little miss.’ Little miss? Is this building a [expletive] joke?”

Commenters Sound Off

Some commenters who responded to her video shared ways that she could get back at the Tesla owner. One suggested she call a tow truck for taking more than one space. Another person who couldn’t believe why the man would make such a big deal about parking when the Tesla can park itself. “Not only that, he can back his [expletive] car out via his app. He’s a [expletive],” they wrote.

There were some people who also pointed out there’s a good chance the Tesla driver was seeing Roos complain. “The cameras on the Tesla watching you,” one wrote. “And it’s even funnier bc they take videos so he will see this. Teslas are the worst.”

Tesla Driver Disdain

Some folks who responded to Roos’s video said that they, too, had negative experiences dealing with Tesla owners. One person wrote, “I work in insurance … it is always the Tesla owners that give me trouble.”

There’s some statistical data to prove that there is a correlation between poor driving habits and rude road manners with Tesla ownership. The Chain, Cohn, and Clark law firm highlighted national insurance data that details the worst car owners by automotive brand. “Tesla, Ram, and Subaru drivers have the highest rates of driving incidents,” according to the legal team’s post.
