The Renault 4 E-Tech Electric Plein Sud is the version with a roll-back roof. It has been available to order since April 2026. The always-black fabric roof is also a distinctive design feature that gives the Renault 4 a different look. To make the opening as wide as possible, the steel roof was removed all the way to the outer edge, which also eliminates the roof rails. In addition, the antenna that is otherwise mounted on the vehicle roof is now integrated into the rear window.
Headroom also changes slightly: up front it is somewhat greater at 906 millimeters than in the standard version, but in the rear it is smaller at 813 millimeters. The steel-roof variant offers 886 millimeters up front and 853 millimeters in the rear. The roll-back roof is opened and closed electrically and can be combined with the Techno and Iconic trims.
