One of Norway’s premier car-wrapping companies called Scandinano (solfilm, foliering) decided to wrap a Tesla Model S in a zombie apocalypse theme.

The result is both gruesome and head-turning.

Google Translates provides us with this crude description:

Excellent cool Tesla S is foiled with Zombie Style 🙂

We’ve added unique design from 0 to 100%.

Only the best and special materials were used in the foliation .

Originally the color is white.

The wrapped car is a tribute to the 1985 movie “The Return of the Living Dead,” which Wikipedia describes as follows:

The Return of the Living Dead is a 1985 American comedy horror film written and directed by Dan O’Bannon and starring Clu Gulager, James Karen, and Don Calfa.[1][2]

The film tells the story of how three men accompanied by a group of teenage punks deal with the accidental release of a horde of brain hungry zombies onto an unsuspecting town. The film is known for introducing the popular concept of zombies eating brains, as opposed to just eating human flesh, like previous zombie iterations, as well as its soundtrack, which features several noted deathrock and punk rock bands of the era. The film was a critical success and performed moderately well at the box office. It later spawned four sequels.

This has to be the most exotically wrapped electric car we’ve seen thus far.

I’ve always said EVs would make great Zombie apocalypse cars. What are you gonna do when the oil wells stop pumping and refineries stop refining?

Solar PV panels and wind turbines can keep charging up an EV during the Zombie apocalypse.

    WHY !?!?!?

    1. Rich says:

Exactly. The question shouldn’t have been “Can you do this?”. The question should have been “Should you do this?”. For the record, the answer is No.

Why pay all that money to uglify a beautiful car? This can only be for someone with much, much more dollars than sense.

I think that doing things like this to cars is purely for publicity.

This wrap will get people to look at Tesla that might not otherwise. After clicking on some related links, some of those people might realize that electric cars are pretty cool. Some of those people might even buy one.

It’s all good in the end.

I dunno, this looks to me like an ad for Scandinano, rather than an ad for Tesla.

On the other hand, the Tesla logo is prominently displayed, albeit bloody, so apparently Tesla at least gave their blessing to the ad, if not contributed to it.

Who would buy this? Its like a cheap Hollywood publicity stunt, where the dress blew aside and the actress “forgot” to wear panties. 🙂

I watched the movie MI-5 and the Tesla in the movie has a V8 engine noise, so ridiculous.

    1. Tesloid says:

In which scene did you see the Tesla? BMW is the sponsor of the movie, so I would be very surprised if they had a Tesla in it…

Thanks kdawg. Your post is much more entertaining than that wrap job!

Double-tapping a Model S is gonna take more than a couplea shotgun shells.
