World’s Largest Universal Fast Charge Station – Video

Located in or near Bergen, Norway, this is claimed to be the world’s largest universal fast-charge station.

The the ability to recharge up to 24 or 25 electric cars simultaneously is the goal once the station is complete..

From the limited information that we could obtain, the setup, located in or near Bergen, Norway, was announced in Spring 2014 and is nearing completion now. As of Fall 2014, the site listed the following:

  • 5 CHAdeMO charging points (50 kW DC) for including Nissan LEAF, Mitsubishi i-MiEV and Peugeot Partner
  • 4 Combo charging points (50 kW DC) for including the BMW i3, VW e-up and coming e-Golf
  • 8 charging point with the new electric vehicle connector type 2 (22 kW AC semi rapid) charging for including Tesla Model S and Renault ZOE and all electric vehicles in the charging speed car can accept.

No 43kW AC? Poor Zoes…

Considering the Zoe has only been sold for a few months in Norway I don’t think that was a big concern when it was built. Maybe they’ll add one as part of their expansion.

Atlantic Station parking deck, Atlanta, can claim a (for the moment) a very close 2nd place with 10 Tesla SCs, 2 Chademo QCs, and 6 L2s. U-S-A, U-S-A.
