This looks a lot like the CrossBlue concept

    1. Ford Prefect says:

That’s the first thing that popped in my mind!

      1. offib says:

Uuh! It feels like I’ve been looking at the same car for 3 years now!!

  2. ffbj says:

    31 mile electric range. Hot-chacha!

    1. Jychevyvolt says:

Expect 20 mile range on EPA cycle.

    2. Dan says:

The last time I drove more than 30 miles in a day was…2011? I think. Not everybody needs your 200 mile range.

  3. PVH says:

VW calls this a concept but this is actually a production ready car. Likely will replace the existing Touareg.

    1. wavelet says:

Yes, isn’t this the Škoda VisionS concept they showed in the Geneva show, and then announced will be called Škoda Kodiaq? (Initially it’ll be hybrid, with PHEV coming later)

  4. Texas FFE says:

Five years ago this would have excited me, now not so much.

  5. pjwood1 says:

Honest. Was the top photo chosen for this story, with the guy wearing a mask, an accident? 😉

    1. Speculawyer says:

LOL! Nice catch. He’s in the VW diesel section. 😉

      1. CBonville says:

Maybe the mask is a commentary on how bad the air pollution is in China.

  6. Bloggin says:

50km or 31miles is the benchmark for consumers to obtain the new China NEV incentives, so any automaker wanting to sell a plug-in hybrid in China, better meet that mark.

Which is great for NA and the rest of the world, because we should all benefit with longer range plug-in hybrid models.

Ford is launching the C-Max Energi in China early next year, but currently it won’t get an incentive, so why would a consumer purchase?

So wondering if there is a battery range increase coming….
