  1. David Murray says:

I bet the race between the Leaf and Volt was quieter.

I live next to a drag strip, unfortunately. I’d love it if they raced electric cars there every weekend. I’d be able to hear myself think.

  2. Mark C says:

The slower car clocked just 12.5 seconds @ better than 109 mph! Go Tesla!!

  3. Boris says:

Now I think I’d be doing just fine even without reading this one…

  4. Cavaron says:

    Red is faster!

    – old Orc saying from WH40k

  5. Big Solar says:

    Red jumped the light

    1. Nix says:

True. He got the red light on the tree showing he jumped the light.

      But he was still faster.

  6. Aaron says:

They might have improved their launch times by turning off traction control. A little controlled slippage might have helped. Then again, with the flat power curve of the electric motor, maybe not.

  7. James says:

Yeah, something’s wrong here – black one is faster, right, Jay?

  8. Nix says:

Red cars are always faster. Everyone who owns a red car knows this…. =)

  9. Ryan says:

Put slicks or drag radials on it and run them again. Any weight savings to be had? Not sure why the car weighs two tons. Can the inverter be software unlocked for more power?

9’s in the 1/4 would be way more impressive. Maybe with 2 motors? With 2 inverters?
