Among the nominees are Tesla Motors’ Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos from Amazon, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, Steve Ells of Chipotle and Bryan Moynihan of Bank of America.

While all of those CEOs are worthy of recognition, we of course believe that Elon Musk is the 2013 standout in this grouping.

In 2013, Musk helped Tesla Motors to achieve what was widely believed impossible: startup automaker turns a profit and exceeds sales expectations.

For those reasons alone, we think Musk deserves the best CEO of 2013 title.  Do you agree?

Well whose company was up over 300%, while massive numbers of analysts said the company would fail? A no-brainer imo.

Elon Musk #1

And he’s head of SpaceX that hovered and translated a large booster at nearly 3000 feet. And he gives advice to Solar City, whose stock has doubled more than TSLA. So, yeah, Musk. More to come.

If Elon Musk delivers on a his visions – Tesla becoming a major automaker, he’ll get to Mars and back, hyperloops becomes reality, he will the considered 21st century greatest innovator/entrepreneur, if he somehow pulls off the electric jet and fusion (he said he would try both) he will be completely off the charts and all of us will be just glad that we got to live in the same time period as him.

Elon is best. Multiplied by two companies.

Few other CEOs are stretching that much, except Carlos Ghosn.

Great job for Tesla in 2013.
