ChargePoint recently refreshed its website and we found out that it released a new instructional video on how to access charging points.

“Learn how to charge your electric vehicle (EV) with ChargePoint┬« electric vehicle charging stations, and find available charging stations on our network with our mobile app.”

Charging points can be located via computer, smartphone or navigation systems in select EVs like the Nissan LEAF.

The basic method of access is to use a ChargePoint card, but drivers can use a mobile smartphone app too.

HI Mike, sorry the original video got deleted/replaced at source. Thanks for the heads up! Fixed.

Funny how, from a distance, these new ChargePoint stations look almost exactly like old-fashioned gas pumps. I mean, anybody from the early 1900’s might even easily recognize an EV hooked up to a charging station as some kind of “auto mobile” being “filled up”. All that’s missing is some attendants in white overalls jumping around the car.

All EVs should have connector on the nose. So stupid.

Yeah… exactly where it can be damaged or simply rendered inaccessible (inlet door jammed, etc.) by a slight frontal impact, preventing you from charging an otherwise driveable car.

Great idea.
