They already made a joke about that a few years back when Elon was on one of the talk shows.

Flammable…hahahaha… that one’s brilliant 😛

This is probably the laziest attempt at comedy I’ve ever seen.

I’m going to Vomit.

meh….

That was funny in a really creepy and disturbing way.

Although I still have the issue of people calling him a real life Tony Stark because Musk isn’t an actual scientist/engineer/designer. And is far from a scientific genius (I have friends that work for him, have worked for him, or have friends with spouses/friends/significant others that work for/have worked for him and he’s definitely not a scientific genius).

His primary degree is in economics. It’s strange because in interviews he even claims that he’s not an engineer/scientist/designer and that he’s an entrepreneur, but he still continues to pretend to be an engineer/scientist/designer in public and on TV. He definitely knows how to market… that I will give him.

In reality, he’s more akin to Obadiah Stane.

Elon Musk attended Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and transferred to the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned two bachelor’s degrees, economics and physics. He was admitted to Stanford University in California, with the intention of earning a PhD in energy physics but dropped out to found Zip2.

I doubt Stanford admits economist into its PhD physics program.

I agree regarding the Tony Stark comment. Remember though, most people are not engineers and have no idea what an engineer does or what an engineering or scientific genius really would look like. Thomas Edison was similarly mislabeled , he is constantly referred to as a genius, but he primarily used the inventions of others. You have to see who is writing these stories. They are largely those with liberal arts degrees, who have a much higher opinion of the importance of appearences. They also consider only one measure of true genius and that is money. They will say stuff like “if your such a genius why aren’t you rich”. Which is an obviously stupid question that they consider to be intelligent.

What Musk really represents is a business person who has no qualms about destroying past industries. He knows that if he doesn’t someone else will. Meanwhile our government and their bosses who make the money now, try to do the opposite, they protect the vested interests even if the newer technology is better for the people.

Elon Musk is someone who understands the science behind BEV, ICE, FCEV, CNG and LNG vehicles and knows BEVs are superior.

It makes good business sense to start a BEV company while the established players are seemingly oblivious to this fact. There is a risk that the established players catch on before you reach economies of scale but so are the rewards if you succeed. It also makes good economic sense for national economies not self sufficient in oil production/consumption and it makes sense for the global environment. Elon understands this too.

Ah, “The Sweet Smell of Success”. 😉
