In searching for the newest information on the Electric RaceAbout electric car, an ongoing research project at the Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, we found interesting videos from last winter’s tests.

Both are illustration of how torque vectoring works on the snow and ice.  Each wheel is driven by separate electric motors that can be independently driven or put under braking (regeneratively).

Good computer graphic display of the input to each wheel.

It reminds me of a Saab Sonnet. I want one of these! Is there any plan to commercialize it in something like its current form? I wouldn’t change a thing.
