Toroidion 1MW Concept Unveiled At Top Marques Monaco (w/video)
The Toroidion 1MW Concept announced a month ago was unveiled at the Top Marques Monaco show.
As the name indicates, power of this monster stands at some 1,000 kW (1,341 hp) and is available through four electric motors – two 200 kW in the front and two 300 kW in the rear.
The Toroidion company was founded four years ago in Finland where 1MW was designed, developed and built entirely in-house.
The two-seat 1MW is road legal, but the powertrain was designed to withstand race track competition at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
There are not too many details on Toroidion, but we don’t see an exhaust pipe on the photos so we believe that this is an all-electric car with some kind of battery swap system.
“As soon as the tests have been performed, we will reveal more about the performance of our innovative patented powertrain and lightweight concept car.”
“The Toroidion all-new electric powertrain has been designed to be scalable in power for different applications while remaining safe to use and service.
The high-capacity battery of the Toroidion powertrain is as easily replaced in the pit-lane as it is in the home garage.”
Here is “secret image” of the drivetrain:
