Tesla Opens New Store And Service Center In Shanghai

MAY 1 2015 BY ERIC LOVEDAY 4

Tesla sales are rebounding in China. In fact, in Q1 2015, Tesla sold 1,329 Model S in China. That figure puts the Model S #7 overall among plug-in cars sold in China. Not bad for a $100,000 car.

With sales on the upswing, Tesla decided to add another store/service center in China.

This latest store is located in Shanghai:

“Brand new Store & Service Center in Shanghai Hongqiao.”

Below is a map of stores and service centers in China.  As you’ll see from the image, Tesla sites are still few and far between in China.

Tesla’s are pretty common in downtown Shanghai.
I see at least 4 or 5 on an average drive.

They’ve gone from nigh on zero 2 years ago (ok, there were 1 or 2 imports from oversea’s that I know of), to quite a few now.

They appear to be doing well in the first tier cities.
