Tesla Model X Pulls Land Cruiser Out Of Snow & Vice Versa – Videos

FEB 14 2018 BY MARK KANE 8

Bjørn Nyland recently demonstrated the Tesla Model X and Toyota Land Cruiser pulling each other out of deep snow, and guess what?

It didn’t seem too difficult no matter which car was to tower or towee.

Comparing the videos, we note that the Tesla Model X did the job far smoother (or maybe even a bit more easily) than the Toyota.

Strong performance in the winter is important in Norway, where the Model X was fourth most popular car, in terms of sales, for all of last year!

Additionally, we’re excited to see Bjørn Nyland and his Optimus Prime (name for his Tesla model X) fully recovered after some damage from earlier extreme tests.

Bjorn should get a real job.

As opposed to a fake job?!

Actually it isn’t that big of a deal. Any heavy 4WD with snow tires can pull either of those vehicles out.

The vehicle stuck just need a little bit of help. So, any vehicle with a little bit pulling power on snow/ice will potentially get either of them unstuck.

I am sure even a Subaru might be enough to get both of them out.

Now, things would change a bit if both vehicles are stuck in the deeper snow slightly off the road on a bank. That would be a test of traction and pulling power.

Draping the strap over the hitch ball like that is super dangerous. I’ve seen two windshields destroyed that way. The tow strap needs to be physically captured at both ends.

Can one install a wench on the Model X?

Yes, but I don’t think she will be able to hold on to the rope. Probably better to use a winch rather than a wench.

You just won at internet 😀

I’d like to see a Model X with something like “Track N Go” in the Snow. That would be fun!
