Tesla Model X Pulls A Semi, With Trailer Attached – Video

FEB 20 2018 BY ERIC LOVEDAY 8

We’ve seen a Tesla Model X free a stuck semi before, but this video is way more impressive.

It’s a Model X pulling a semi with a big ‘ol trailer behind it on a very slippery surface.

Electric, plus AWD proves capable enough to tug this 95,000-pound anchor around.

Video description (via Bjorn Nyland):

“I know that this is not the first time a Model X pulls a semi. But in that other video, it was done with the help of the semi as well. And the Model X had poor all season tires not fit for snow and ice. I wanted to see if it was possible to pull a semi trailer despite having slippery surface like ice and snow.”

Where’s the part of the video showing that the inside of the trailer is not completely empty, or the part of the video showing that the semi with trailer at a weigh station tipping the scales at 95,000 lbs?

t what i was about to say. Was there anything in the trailer?

You mean just like the inside of your mind is empty when it comes to your constant FUD against Tesla?

That would have very impressive on Dry Ground , But In the Snow? That is truly incredible!

I think you exceeded the Model X’s towing capacity limit a tad…

Can you please let me know the VIN of this Model X?
I need to cancel its warranty now 😐

Thank you for understanding.

Not really all that different from the Toyota Tundra pulling the space shuttle or Range Rover pulling a airbus-380.

Sure, on the snow, the traction is more important. But we aren’t talking about a lot of acceleration here. With good snow tires, it can certainly do.

And the ground looks pretty flat. A 5 deg hill would have been more impressive. =)
