Tesla Model S Sedan: Now In Racing Red

It took Tesla awhile to offer the Model S in red, but they are now rolling of the company’s California assembly line.

Previously, the color was reserved only for limited edition “Signature” models.  So for those who did want a shiny new Model S in red, but did not want to spend the premium dollars to get it, they have been patiently waiting as all the other color combinations have been delivered to their Silicon Valley neighbors.

It is worth noting that the Signature red cars produced last year are still a different variation of the original color, which was a deeper, metallic red.

The first cars were shown in the snazzy new color via a Elon Musk tweet (naturally):

While we assumed the company would not just call it “red,” we don’t think they have added much to the proposition with its official name – Multi Red.  Previously, when cars were configured the company had called this color “Sunset Red”

Whatever adjective you want to put in front of the color, the first of the new red cars will make their way to customers before month’s end.

I like this brighter shade of Red better than the red on the Signature models!
