Yeah, just saw that in Mercury News. This guy must be intolerable!

Oh, a pile on. But See Through, really, you just asked for that one.

Wha… Wait, a bit, you know, off to show this that isn’t really involved with plug ins. Am I wrong?

    1. Mikael says:

Hehe… the development of the artificial metal snake to automatically plug in for delivering teeny tiny electrons seems to be a compensation for something else… 😉

    2. Craig says:

Might not be plug in related, but she looks like she has bolt-ons

  3. Anderlan says:

If he’s makes the same high technical demands of his partner as his engineers, I can see why he has problems. Unless he had a harem.

    1. Ahldor says:

I don’t think Elon Musk is putting too much pressure on the common engineer or co worker. He does however seem to expect alot from people in the leading positions – which I think is a good thing for the company.

I think that Elon should get together with the cute journalist on Bloomberg Betty Liu. She really seems to genuinly like him, and he does seem to speak to her in a certain way. I don’t know, maybe Betty has a fiance already. =)

      1. See Through says:

What are u talking about? What way?
Did you go see that in person. or just day dreaming and cooking up your own version of little love story here?

        1. Ahldor says:

Maybe it was just a made up thought.

          1. ffbj says:

Naw, I can see what you mean, there is surely some interplay going on there, though the the Pando interviewer was more blatant, but then I think she is really cute.

      2. cwerdna says:

Betty Liu is supposedly still married and it’s her second one.

      3. Mark says:

        I felt the same (somehow).

    2. Fabian says:

Instead of calling it a harem, Musk should just call it a ‘personal board of directors’ and incorporate his ‘family’ so he can just fire and hire his ‘directors’ and then remove the severance package clause from his terms of employment.. 🙂

  4. JR says:

Well with his working hours and 5 kids I doubt there is much of a marriage.
He is not superman although it looks like it sometimes

    1. David Murray says:

Indeed – I was thinking the same thing. He’s essentially married to his career now.

      1. Foo says:

He should take some time off to recharge.

  5. Foo says:

    Clearly, electric vehicles cause divorces.

    1. Assaf says:

+2 for this and the other one, Foo. You cracked me up!

      1. ffbj says:

Oh, I get. Honey you forgot to plug in the ev.

    2. Bonaire says:

I guess he forgets to plug it in at night. Cavuto got it right.

    3. ffbj says:

      Good one Foo!

    4. Steven says:

      Only among multimillionaires.

  6. Mikael says:

What Musk needs are just a couple of payed girls for relievement and as nannies.

He has no time for wifes or girlfriends (or willing to make time for one) so it isn’t strange that the divorce was coming.

Wasn’t there an interview that he talked about this and he thought planning in 4 hours a week with his wife was enough (at least for him)? Or something like that.

  7. Assaf says:

If we’re in the business of playing Elon’s “Dear Abby”, then my line to him is:

Get off the trophy-wife gig. Find someone in your age and mindset, and be happy with her. In short, go find another geek like you 🙂

    1. See Through says:

Exactly! The picture of his wife here doesn’t look like a housewife taking care of 5 kids. She seems like one in for money too.

Guess this guy doesn’t want a wife.

      1. Assaf says:

        oh-oh, SeeThru agrees with me.

I must be in the Twilight Zoooooone….

ps: who TF said anything about “housewife”? According to Wiki the kids live with their mom. Elon talks about them a lot, but he’s likely doing far less than 50% of the parenting.

        1. Steven says:

Take a deep breath and remember it’s only SeeThru.

  8. GeorgeS says:

wow a cross between Howard Hughes and John Kennedy.

  9. Kosh says:

She found him too hard to swallow….

    1. Rick Danger says:

      “Cleanup in aisle 6….”

  10. George Parrott says:

Bill Gates and Jerry Brown both ended up with wives that seem to able to keep up and add to their lives. Maybe Elon should, as several of you already have noted, consider something other than cup size when considering a life “partner?”

Obviously and thankfully he is a better leader and engineer than a “family person.”

  11. Ryan says:

She might be pretty; but she isn’t worth a damn. He just needs to stay single and focus on his work.

  12. Anon says:

Changing the world for the better with disruptive technologies, has unintended, but not unexpected, personal consequences. 🙁

I greatly admire Elon for his vision, drive, and ability to balance many critical world altering projects at once– but I wouldn’t want to be him for a millisecond. Far too much to carry. If Atlas had a wife, he would have gotten a divorce, too.

  13. Tyl Young says:

This is a private matter. We should all wish them well.

      1. Lustuccc says:

        +2+2= +4

    1. Steven says:

And the winner of the most mature observation goes to…

  14. Get Real says:

Exactly, and in any case–who cares except for people obsessed with Elon like See Through?

  15. pjwood says:

This is when the man is expected to settle down and enjoys slower cars.

  16. Bill Howland says:

Now I know why he raised the price of the Roadster $20,000 at seemingly the last minute: 2500 roadsters would be $50 million dollars or, enough for a few divorce settlements.

  17. Omar Sultan says:

Maybe leave this stuff to TMZ and People next time…?

  18. Steven says:

I forget which musician who said it, but I believe the quote was “I should meet someone who I love, but don’t like, and give her a house and never see her again”.

  19. Robert says:

Is this some new tax loop hole he is using?
Righting off $16 million in alimony?

  20. Rick Danger says:

    “She’s not worth 20 million… 5 million maybe.” 😉

  21. Jon says:

seriously? we get this story but no story about the possible hyperloop test track that might be built in Texas. Seems like a ploy to influence Texas politicians to allow direct sales.
