Five days ago, Tesla CEO Elon Musk took to Twitter to state that the rollout of Autopilot in Europe and Asia was pending regulatory approval. At the time, Musk expected approval to be received by this past Friday (October 23).

On cue, yesterday Elon Musk announced via Twitter that Autopilot had indeed received regulator approval in all countries in which the Model S is sold, excluding Japan.

This means that the worldwide rollout of Autopilot is now underway.  If you own a Model S in Europe or Asia (excluding Japan) you should receive your Autopilot update within the next several days.

Can’t wait for the first Italian self drive in backseat videos

Excellent. But God, who designed that new clock? I don’t know anyone who likes it…

I have seen some new videos from version 7 in Sweden and there both the temperature and a digital clock is visible all the time. It seems that Tesla have fix that quite fast.

This is basically cruise control with lane keeping. What regulations need fixed? MB has had a similar product for a few years.

Who has said anything about fixing regulations? And it’s not just lane keeping. It’s lane changing. As far as I know there hasn’t been automatic lane changing on market before this.
