How do these "budget" EVs really stack up?
Who better than Alex on Autos to compare the Tesla Model 3, Nissan LEAF Plus, and Kia Niro EV? These three are arguably the best of the best when it comes to new "budget" EV offerings available today. They're all very different cars in so many ways, but EV shoppers may be considering each of them and wondering how to come to a final decision.
We'll say up front that the Tesla Model 3 and Nissan LEAF Plus are now widely available in many global markets, though the Kia Niro EV is in smaller production and not so easy to get. However, regardless, which is the best EV, and why?
The esteemed Alex L. Dykes breaks it all down for us in incredible detail. If you were on the fence prior to this comparison, hopefully, now you can move forward due to Dykes' intensive coverage.
Do you own any of these cars? If so, please share your experiences with us in the comment section below. If not, which will you choose? We'd love to know.

For this video I snagged the three latest long-range EVs under $40,000: the new Leaf Plus, the Niro EV and of course the long awaited Model 3 Standard Range [plus]. Tesla's brand value tops the scales, the Leaf has an enormous cargo area and Kia fights back with a long standard warranty. Which will be the winner? You might be surprised.
