With long range and lots of features, the Kona Electric is an amazing EV, provided you can cope with its cramped rear legroom.
With a very impressive range rating and loads of available features, the Hyundai Kona Electric is an amazing EV, perhaps one of the best on the market, but it does come with at least one significant flaw.
No single car is perfect. Each vehicle comes with its highlights and lowlights. However, sometimes the ups outweigh the downs, whereas other times, it's the other way around.
The Kona Electric shines in more ways than one. The biggest plus is its 258-mile range. Outside of a Tesla, that's a hugely impressive range figure. Add in the fact that it's relatively affordable and you'll see why there's a lot to like when it comes to the Kona Electric.
However, due to the Kona Electric's small size (it's way smaller in person than it appears to be in videos and images), the rear seating area is quite cramped. Are the positives enough to overlook this negative? Well, that likely depends on who will be sitting in the back. If you often drive alone or with children in tow, the Kona might work for you. If you plan on hauling a larger family around, then perhaps you should consider the Kia Niro EV instead.
