Mercedes-Benz was out doing some commercial shoots of the EQ Concept in Portugal, and gave WHAT'S INSIDE? FAMILY the opportunity to tag along, and do a mini-review of its own - include a ride in the all-electric vehicle.

The concept heralds the upcoming GLC-sized, all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQC, which scheduled for production in 2019.

In some markets customers already can reserve one.

The video entices with the title of "Should I Sell my Tesla Model X for this Mercedes?".

But well, we are not sure how those two will compare in 2019, especially as there are certainly many twirly-things in the concept that will not live to see production.

As you will see in the video, Mercedes-Benz has played a lot with the lighting, both on the exterior and interior.

Mercedes-Benz EQ Concept spec:

  • 500 km (310 miles) of all-electric range (NEDC - think 225ish in the real world).
  • roughly 70 kWh battery
  • 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 5 seconds
  • 300 kW and 700 Nm of system output (double motor, all-wheel-drive)
  • 30 minute recharge using 150 kW CCS Combo
