Renault believes in the strong potential growth for ZOE electric car sales, and as such is gearing up for increased production.

The Flins factory (in France) is already producing about 120 ZOE a day (up from 90 in the Spring, when the Superbonus was launched in France).

Now the company says that production will expand again – to 150 units a day by the end of November.  The sudden change is probably adjusting for expected growth from the expanded diesel scrapping scheme in France next year and also higher demand throughout Europe.

To date, over 18,000 ZOE were sold in just France alone (nearly 7,000 in the first nine months of 2015) and 32,000 in total worldwide.

At 150/day, Renault would be able to deliver 3,000 ZOE a month (considering the French employees on the single shift working 20 days a month). Annual production would be ~36,000, a level of sales that the ZOE has never experienced such high volumes in the past.

Nice. I hope they are working on a battery upgrade for the ZOE, they’ll need to keep up.

… and something Megane-like…

I wish this was available in NA.

Yeah, it is a decent looking small EV. However, the very nice charging system it has would not be as useful here since we don’t have the same electrical system.

Exactly. The 3-phase charging capability cannot be used in America.
But this is what makes the ZOE so attractive. I can charge it from completely empty in 50 minutes at home (I have a 32A CEE (22kW), standard for every household in Central Europe is a 16A CEE (11kW)).

Plenty of places in North America have three phases. They’re just not residences and offices, and some of them are 120, not 277V.

If you have a human-scaled vehicle, not a cage, 208V would be plenty, let alone 480V.

Kia is producing 150 a week and selling worldwide, Renault only in Europe and now producing 150 a DAY.
Thats a reason why i will buy only cars from leaders like Renault Nissan where a CEO stands behind electric cars.

I bet they get around 60.000 sales per year with their new Zoe 2.0 coming 2018 with 45 kWh (???) Battery. The Clio was always a good selling cool city car, that appealed both gender. 25% of Clio sales should be possible with a bigger battery, that can drive me to my relatives living coutryside.

If it gets available with 45 kWh I’ll have at home the next day!

The ZOE in a Clio Grandtour-manner (split back seat and more luggage space) would be perfect!

Yes, i drive a Skoda Fabia Combi now. The Clio Grandtour as a 45kWh (usable) BEV would be perfect for my familiy.

This is great news yay.. We would also like to let everyone know there is also a Renault Zoe Owners Club dedicated for the Zoe. Keep up the good work Renault and we will keep your owners happy at the same time.
