Renault Increases Electric Car Sales In September To Over 2,300
Outside of June, Renault has increases its electric car sales every month so far in 2016.
In September, 2,329 cars were delivered, which was up 7.5% year-over-year, but that is probably just a small taste of the sales we will see when the 2017 ZOE 40 with a 41 kWh battery hit the market.
The 400 km/438 mile* (NEDC) ZOE went on sale on October 1st and volume deliveries are expected in November. (Real world range on the 41 kWh ZOE has been estimated at 300 km/186 miles by the French company)
Adding in the Twizy quadricycle, sales amounted 2,594 (up 11%).
Renault all-electric model breakdown for September:
- Renault ZOE – 1,992 (up 19%) and ≈16,000 YTD
- Renault Kangoo Z.E. – 276 (down 44%) and 2,800+ YTD
- Renault Twizy – 265 (up 58%) and 1,700+ YTD
The total all-electric sales for the year now stand at over 19,000 (21,000 incl. Twizy), compared to 14,490 year ago (16,535).
