Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid Qualifies For UK’s £5,000 Plug In Car Grant

The Porsche Panamera S E-Hybridhas officially launched on the global level.

With its launch comes word that it does indeed qualify for the UK’s £5000 (~ $8,133 US) Plug In Car Grant.

Additionally, the Panamera plug-in gets a “5 per cent company car tax liability and is eligible for 100 per cent of first year capital allowance,” says Autocar.

Furthermore, the plug-in Porsche is “exempt from road tax, first registration fee and the London Congestion Charge,” notes Autocar.

Some additional specs:

  • 91 mpg
  • Emissions of 71 g/km 
  • Electric-only range of 22 miles.

Bingo, no congestion charge and less company car tax these should sell like hot cakes in the UK. The car is paid for by the company the tax and con charge by the driver. Aston/Jag you’ve got your work cut out to catch up now.
