Only 918 will ever be produced and all of those units are nearly sold out.

According to Automotive News:

“Production of the plug-in hybrid supercar’s 918 promised units will end next July, and planned production is sold out through late March or early April, said Andre Oosthuizen, vice president of marketing for Porsche Cars North America Inc.”

“So if that’s anything to go by, it’s probably in the last and the final straight,” Oosthuizen said.

So far, Porsche has delivered less than 100 918 Spyders globally, but most of the 918s that trickle off the line (hand build, actually) have already been purchased.

Production of the 918 Spyder began in Fall of 2013, so it’s clear that this vehicle’s production rate is painfully slow.

The 918 Spyder starts at $847,975.  Deposits of $200,000 are required.

Eric they are all spoken for. We were notified a day or so ago that the last 25 were gone.
