Polestar Now Offers Volvo V60 PHEV Performance Upgrade
Polestar, the high performance tuning arm of Volvo, announced that the Volvo V60 D6 Plug-in Hybrid will be added to the Polestar Performance range.
According to press release, with a power output of 298 hp and 670 Nm, this will be the strongest ever diesel model from Volvo. Hans Bååth, marketing director for Polestar stated:
“The Polestar optimisation for the V60 D6 combines a strong fuel economy with performance. We are happy to be able to offer the Volvo customers with more driving pleasure in combination with the latest hybrid technology, a very interesting area for the future.”
However, despite some improvements, the reported 0-100 km/h time went down by just one-tenth of a second to 6.0 s.
“The new optimisation increases the power of the diesel engine with 15 hp and 30 Nm, including an optimised power graph. Combined with the electric engine of 68 hp and 200 Nm, the performance figures are improved to 0-100 km/h in 6.0 seconds, this with unchanged fuel consumption and emission levels: 1.8 l/100 km and 48 g/km.”
“The optimisation makes the car more fun to drive, at the same time as it increases the safety in situations where you need extra performance, for example during an overtaking maneuver.”
“Polestar Performance is installed by your Volvo dealer with retained Volvo warranty. The work can be carried out in connection with a regular service, tyre change, installation of Volvo accessories or reconditioning. As with other Volvo Original Accessories, Polestar Performance can increase the resale value of your Volvo.”
