Plug-In Electric Car Sales In China Increased In March To 59,000
China continues its typical annual month-after-month path of growth in plug-in electric car sales, which culminates in December.
Sales in March increased 85% year-over-year to roughly 59,000 and around 122,000 for the first three months of 2018, which translates into 1.8% market share.
Last year’s best-selling model – the BAIC EC-Series – leads the Chinese market this year too with 7,818 sales in March and almost 20,000 for the year.
The next two models, the BYD Song PHEV and JAC iEV7 S/E, for now can only try to fight for 2nd place.
The highest volume foreign-brand models are Tesla Model X and BMW X1 PHEV.
