Plug-In Electric Car Sales In UK Up By 45% in July
3 Y BY MARK KANE
Plug-in electric car sales in UK remain at 0.9% overall market share in July.
With 1,589 registrations, the breakdown is 420 are BEVs and 1,169 PHEVs.
Growth of sales is 45% – not bad, but the lowest rate of growth in over a year.
BEVs, lead by Nissan LEAF (268), are now moving backwards (down 16%), so all the growth comes from PHEVs right now.
Before another expected sales spike in September, we need to go through one more slow month – August.
