Volkswagen is trying like mad to distance itself from diesel, hence its current show-circuit crew of cartoonish yet charming EVs. The I.D. Crozz will be the first of that group to arrive in the United States, according to the latest information from the L.A. Auto Show. The I.D. Crozz is a compact crossover coupe powered by a pair of electric motors, one on each axle, for a combined output of 302 hp and an estimated range of 300 miles. The I.D. Crozz also features VW’s 4Motion all-wheel drive system. No pricing information is available yet beyond VW’s assurances that the I.D. Crozz will be “affordable.”
