This one will not be here for long. The eighth generation of the German hatchback will have its world premiere on October 24. To make matters worse for the electric hatchback, VW already has a new electric hatchback, the ID.3. And it will not allow a new e-Golf to ever exist, despite its respectable 119 MPGe of energy consumption and its 125 miles of range with a 35.6 kWh battery pack. The US will not have an electric hatchback from Volkswagen anymore since the ID.3 will not be sold in the country. If you want one, hurry up!
