Volkswagen revealed its first I.D. concept at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, kickstarting the octet of EV concepts we know today. Using VW's modular MEB architecture, the entry-level I.D. concept uses a 48-kilowatt-hour battery pack, generating a range of 205 miles (329 kilometers), while the top-end I.D. promises an 82-kilowatt-hour battery pack and a range of more than 370 miles (595 kilometers).

Good news is, nearly all of those proposed figures should carry over to the production model, along with either 7.2 -kilowatt or 11-kilowatt onboard chargers, and 125-kW DC fast charging capabilities. The bad news is, the ID hatchback is a Euro-exclusive model, meaning we won't get it in the U.S. (for now). But we will get a number of the other ID vehicles on this list.
