Panasonic CES 2015 Video – Tesla Model S & Gogoro Scooter Batteries

Powered By Panasonic

At CES 2015, Panasonic took a few moments to highlight the fact that its lithium-ion cells are more widely used in the automotive sector (hybrid, plug-in hybrid & BEV) than any other battery maker’s cells in the world:

“Panasonic’s lithium ion batteries power more hybrid and electric vehicles than another other brand on Earth…and they’re just getting started. Panasonic’s partnership with Tesla Motors will soon bring about a new era in green energy. As demonstrated at CES 2015 in Las Vegas, their brand new Gigafactory will churn out enough batteries to power electric vehicles all over the world. Panasonic’s lithium ion batteries will also power Gogoro Scooters and electric bicycles.”

There’s some Tesla-specific discussion, followed by an overview of Panasonic’s electric bicycle, then it’s onto the new Gogoro electric scooter.

Bet Elon wishes all Panasonic’s batteries are belong to him. 😉

Yeah, that’s a small cell, maybe they should make them a little bigger.

They do.

It looks like tall people could bonk their heads on those falcon-wing doors.

That’s great news for folks of average and lower height.

Not really, average height people could bonk their heads also if they standing on a sidewalk, since the curb would elevate them about 6 inches.

These falcon-winged doors cause more problems then they solve.
