  1. Kdawg says:

Why do all the Model 3s have the red windshield sticker that says “Tesla”? Is that supposed to stay on, because I see lot of pictures of owners with that sticker still there.

    1. Lawrence says:

That’s the holder for the temporary registration. Very common among car dealerships.

      1. Kdawg says:

Thanks. I’ve yet to see that before (in Michigan).

        1. Lawrence says:

CA won’t have those once the temporary license plate law goes into effect.

Right now people drive around without any plates when they buy their cars and wait for them in the mail and with the temporary registration affixed to the windshield. A long standing and problematic rule that is finally going to get fixed at the end of this year.

          1. Unplugged says:

Those of us who regularly get new cars will miss the old law. It makes for a month or two of free tolls, and red light camera passes.

            1. Unplugged says:

NOT that I, personally, would ever be such a miscreant.

              1. (⌐■_■) Trollnonymous says:

I would but no surprise there.
                😛

            2. Lawrence says:

Why stop at 3 months? There are 20 year old cars driving around without license plates seemingly unenforced.
