On May 25 in Norway a world record for the largest EV parade was set.

399 EVs, mostly Nissan LEAFs and Tesla Model S, gathered in Klepp and then drove 8 km to Bryne.

According to Norsk Elbilforening, this will be a new Guinness World Record, above the previous 260 in Oslo and current 305 in Zurich.

It seems that for some reason the 431 vehicles in Canada are not considered as record, which we believe is due to plug-in hybrids taking part in the parade.

“399 electric vehicles gather in Klepp in Norway to set Guinness World Record for largest EV parade 25.05.2014.”

“The distance driven was about 8 km from Klepp to Bryne.”

“Organised by Jรฆrdagen 2014”

Bravo Norway.

Hydrogen highway not needed or wanted. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hehe. Yeah you can hardly throw a rock without hitting an electric car in Norway.

Wow, that’s a lot of Model S

We intend to double this with the World’s Largest Electric Vehicle Gathering” on August 9, 2014 in Southern California.

Awesome. ๐Ÿ™‚

Where will this be at? Any info?

Did anyone check the license plates? For all we know, it could be 1 Model S and 20 Leafs circling around the block for 20 minutes … just kidding. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Love those “EL” licnese plates.

I wonder what they will do after EL 99999. But they have two years to figure it out. ๐Ÿ˜›
