Here is Nissan’s vision of the future supercar.

Dubber the Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo, this vehicle made its virtual debut in Gran Turismo 6 and is now making its real-world debut.

This concept is, according to Nissan, “a vision of what a high performance Nissan could look like in the future.”

More specifically, this is likely the design of the next-generation Nissan GT-R.

According to Nissan, no details are available at this time in regards to the powertrain within this Vision Gran Turismo concept, but Nissan fully believes that the “real-world is ready” for this concept vehicle.

As we know, today’s extreme performance machines (Porsche 918 Spyer, McLaren P1, etc) incorporate a plug-in hybrid powertrain for added urgency off the line. There’s no doubt Nissan will employ a PHEV setup for the next-gen GT-R, based on this concept.  This is especially true for any vehicle potentially coming to market as far off as 2020.

Our guess is that the next-gen Nissan GT-R will debut well before 2020, be based at least loosely on this concept and feature a plug-in hybrid setup.

I’m guessing the same person that designed the Pontiac Aztek had a hand in the design of this concept vehicle.

It looks like it could have serious potential as the next Batmobile, though.

I was thinking the designer’s prior job was making Transformers toys.

I liked the Esflow much better…

I would reserve judgement till we actually see it on the road. Maybe looking at it from a eye level angle would be more pleasing, who knows. Also, many designs are ahead of their time. The Lamborghini Aventador is a pretty outrageous design. In 2020, who knows, this might be considered conservative!

Rule: If you can’t pull off an attractive three-quarter view of the front of any vehicle, then it qualifies as ugly. If there are no pleasant views of said vehicle, then it’s fugly.
