Nissan Announces 80th Anniversary Special Editions

Starting this month, Nissan Motors of Japan will release 4 “special” colors for the Nissan LEAF.  These colors, referred to as limited editions, will celebrate Nissan’s 80th anniversary.

The company is releasing special editions which wore the popular colors of the former sports cars in the Nissan family like the Fairlady Z and GT-R

As we’ve seen in the past, most special edition LEAFs are limited solely to the Japanese market.  We suspect the same will hold true for these LEAFs, which are only unique in terms of paint color.

Here’s a description of the 4 special color LEAFs.

1. Aurora Flare Blue Pearl: an expression of the arctic night sky.

2. Premium Deep Maroon: a traditional color from 1971

3. Premium Orange Sun flare: a vivid hue

4. Brilliant White Pearl with bronze accents

Are any of these special colors LEAFs to your liking?  If so, then hit up your local paint shop because the chance of Nissan offering them here in the US is ~0%.

Love em. Wish they weren’t limited.

I like this Aurora Flare Blue one.

I’ll take brilliant white pearl with 48 kwh please!

I’ll take “primer grey” if it has a 48 kWh battery!

Ha!+1

I’d take transparent coat

Different colors of fugly. 🙁

You can say that while you are wearing a beret and striped shorts????

Why you looking in his window? Creep.

Yuck Yuck Yuck

What a maroon!

Really?
Just colors?

Still no green?

For gosh sakes, when are they going to make a green Leaf? Its the obvious choice…

Uh, the 370Z/Fairlady and GT-R are still being made today.
