Nissan LEAF Converted To Police Car In Germany

OCT 2 2015 BY MARK KANE 8

Not only Volkswagen “thinks blue” in Germany by delivering electric police cars.

Here is a Nissan LEAF prepared for duty in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Range of the LEAF should be sufficient as the electric car will operate on the Hiddensee island.

just at mothers stake finally not even a Tesla, slowly???….But ,it is not a perfekt …turbodiesel!

Strange… Police cars in Germany are historically painted dark green, not blue.

They switched to blue some years ago. Uniforms are dark blue too.

-> Have a look at the first police vehicle pictures there. It’s explained directly below the pictures. Maybe these sentences are even simple enough for a (usually quite stupid) free translation service on the web (without any humans looking at the translation) – or at least translated in a way, you may could understand the translation 😉

Thanks!
I’m fluent in German, btw.
Haven’t been there for a while (or seen police cars, the last time I was), so wasn’t aware of the change.

When are we getting those wheels in the US? We never got the polished 16″ wheels from 2011 either.

Agree Ken, the wheels look good on the car.
Even their own Police have turned their back on the VW Diesel.

But it’s not the first EV of the German police. Don’t have an overview, but it took me just a few seconds to find this: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei:Helgoland_police-car_2010.JPG
